Why not use a Urethane base one.
Super easy to shoot.

I've used Duplicolor's Paint Shop brand, easy to shoot and has a nice finish.

laquer paint is easy to shoot..you can build it then sand it down..
the bad issue is ...it needs to be buffed often...to keep a shine...
then good news is..when its dull and you buff it ...it shines right up like new..

i looked at the paints and i am going with a uerathane paint 2 stage going to paint it black not sure on the striping

The only advantage IMO is the finished look. My personal choice is acrylic lacquer only because I don't prefer the "wet look paints" on the 60's and 70's cars. I have applied clear lacquer over the base coats on the last two cars just to provide depth and added protection. I've been using Trinity paints. Again my opinion only. 360 Sport
