No need for the additive with the Dominator Racing oil. It won't hurt and I would run it if Hughes wants you to for their warranty but it's not needed as the Dominator oil has plenty of ZDDP and is designed for this type of application.

Preferred Customer. It lets you buy at dealer cost vs retail.

The Dominator racing oil has more of extreme pressure agents in it with a higher ZDDP content for increased lubricity and less shear for the higher output engines and higher spring pressures with a solid flat tappet cam. The XL oil is good stuff but in your car I would either run the Dominator racing oil or the AMO series:

Well yesterday we could only find the xl 10w/30 so thats what we ran in my new motor after break in it made 4.3 extra hp but it sounds like i will be draining that off and running the dominator.

Like Phil stated, Dominator RD50 or the RD30.

The XL will be fine for a bit here but I would go to the Dominator or AMO from now on.

AMSOIL has the WIX Racing filters available. The Ea oil filter is not recommended for Racing Engines.

That is correct. I know a few guys that have ran them with no issues but Amsoil doesn't recommend them because they don't recommend extended drain intervals on racing engines as it is with the oil so there is no reason to run the Ea oil filter.

You can become a P/C member under me and order it online and have it shipped right to your house. It'd be cheaper for you and also I'd get credit for the sale since I am answering all your questions anyway LOL. I know guys that run the Ea filter but IMO it's a waste because you aren't running extended drain intervals, the higher efficiency Ea filter has a tighter filtering media to catch particles for a longer amount of time so the oil has to pass through more media and you'll work the bypass in the filter more. So IMO for the high pressure, high volume systems we run the Wix filters are more than adequate for a regular drain interval.
