Car Raffle ? ?
I wonder if I could raffle off my car?
All I'd have to do is sell 160 tickets (or more) @ $100 each.
I could promise to donate everything over the 160 ticket minimum to a worthy cause....
Probably have to put a time limit on it......perhaps start the raffle now and have the drawing on Christmas day or New Years day..... Put a disclaimer on the ticket that says "raffle will be cancelled if 150 ticket minimum is not met."
Nothing else seems to be working......

Not drinking.... I'm serious.
Although it would take dedication to sell 160 $100 tickets, P.T. Barnum's competitor said: "There's a sucker born every minute."
Here's proof.
I bought a $25 ticket to try to win a 1970 Camaro. the fund raiser was for a legit medical program.
They didn't sell enough tickets to cover the cost of the car so they gave away a cash prize and kept the car.
I always figured the car owner's anonymous/mystery friend "won" the money......LOL!

If I remember right some one tried that with a funny car a while back and there were some legal issues.

You'd have to record everyone's info and return their money if you didn't sell the minimum and they still run the risk of someone saying they paid you and you never gave them their money back. I thought about it with my car...believe me. Honestly...contact the Nat's or Chrysler Classic. Maybe work out a deal with them they buy your car for X amount and they can raffle it off and keep or donate the profits. It would get people through their gates and sell your car. They have multiple events so they could sell them at each event and have the drawing at the last one.

The guys with the f/c ended up selling tickets to their party and giving the car away as a door prize.
